What is Coaching?

Story of a Rose Seed:

While we all have immense potential just like the rose seed, only a few percentages get’s explored as we also have some not so useful habits, patterns, behaviours and emotions that hold us back from fulfilling our potential.  Coaching is that  space that helps us reduce or eliminate those limitations and own our power.

Coaching is a tool for building personal excellence that encourages people to take responsibility for their life and consciously work on reinventing, transforming themselves and build a life they desire. Coaching essentially answers the question we keep asking ourselves in various contexts in life, “How can I be better?”

The methodology of coaching acknowledges and celebrates that each person is unique, truly gifted, and has immense power and strength. Coaching helps people to own their power and life and to create or design their life.

In a coaching set up we have two kinds on conversations, strategic conversations and transformational conversations. A Coach works with you in getting clarity of what you want, helps you define your goals and decide the actions you would take to get there while thinking through external obstacles and consequences. A Coach also works with you in clearing or minimising your internal blocks or fears so that you keep building yourself to take up the challenge in the goal. A Coach helps you reconnect with yourself to bring out your essence and your true potential.

The concept of coaching comes from the world of sports that started spreading slowly into different areas of life and at work. Companies, and the people working in them wanted to learn, grow, progress and be at their optimum best just like a sportsman does, and coaching essentially assists in that . It enables leaders, managers, executives to bring out their personal best.
